Barrel is No. 2 char & medium toast

Barrel entry proof: 120°

Mashbill:

68.6% corn, 17.1% wheat, 9.4% caramel barley, 4.7% rye

The corn, wheat, and rye are all grown in Washington


Age: ~2.5 years


Nose 👃: Caramel.  Corn. Oak. Black tea. Nutmeg.


Palate 👅: Toffee. Werther’s Originals. Brown sugar. Buttercream frosting.


Finish 🏁: Rye spice. Black walnut. Black tea.


Overall thoughts?  If you’re interested in small barrel aging, this is a good place to start.  Small barrels can often be overwhelming, but this one isn’t.  The small barrels were managed quite well to produce an enjoyable bourbon.
